The reserve is a haven for wildlife, with lots of different habitats, including wetlands, woodlands and heathland, with viewing areas and hides. Volunteers are often on hand to help you spot and identify the birds.

Cowdray is a one of the most important remaining Tudor houses in England, now ruined. It was visited by both Queen Elizabeth I and King Henry VIII, and was partially destroyed by fire in 1793. It hosts many child-friendly events throughout the year.
