London's big zoo, which has been modernising in recent years with more engaging, immersive and interactive exhibits. Located in Regents Park, with more than 700 animals.

New in 2010 was ‘Rainforest Life’ which allows you to step into the rainforest and come face-to-face with a variety of species inluding monkeys, sloths and armadillos. There’s also a ‘Night Life’ section with bats, rats, and other nocturnal creatures.

Other highlights include:

Book tickets online to save queuing.

If you come by car, try to find pay and display parking in the ‘Outer Circle’ of the park at £2.40 per hour, with a maximum stay of 4 hours (£1.40 on Sundays; no maximum stay).
