This event claims to be the 'world's largest multi-period military show', and from the range of re-enactments and displays on offer, we can believe it! From the Romans and Greeks, to the UK and US Civil Wars, to WWI and WWII, it's all here!

The following major battles are re-enacted each day:

  • Medieval battle with archers and hand cannon.
  • Eastern front WWII battle – Russians vs. Germans with cavalry.
  • Napoleonic battle with cavalry.
  • WWI battle with cavalry.
  • American Civil War battle with cavalry.
  • English Civil War battle.
  • Western Front WWII battle with armour and aircraft.

In addition, there arena events include:

  • Roman arms and drill.
  • Diehard Company drill.
  • Knights of Draum fighting.
  • Ancient Greeks.
  • Vikings and Saxons.
  • American Civil War.
  • Napoleonic drill.
  • Skill at arms competition.
  • REME recovery display.
  • Three displays of 19th Century Westerners.

Most groups will also offer at least one in-camp talk per day.

There will also be plenty of static displays, retailers, food stalls and other refreshments.
