Car: Hedingham Castle is in the village of Castle Hedingham, half a mile from the A1017 between Cambridge and Colchester.
From the M11 junction 8, take the A120 to Braintree (direction Colchester). Circle round the bypass following the Sudbury signs, and the Castle is then signposted. One mile out of Braintree on Sudbury road, branch left onto the A1017 to Gosfield and The Hedinghams. In Sible Hedingham, take the right turn to Castle Hedingham and turn left to Castle at the top of the village’s main street. The entrance gates are 200 yards on the right.
Open Sunday 1st April 2012 to Thursday 1st November 2012.
Closed Fridays and Saturdays and selected days for private events.
