Fred’s Days Out is our family business:

  • Fred is only five, so his focus is on having fun, but he’s also pretty vocal about the places he visits and we hope his influence can be felt throughout.
  • Mum and Dad do the hard work as usual!

Our ambition is to help you find the best attractions and events across the UK, simply and easily, all in one place, with trusted reviews. We’ve started with London and the South-East because that’s what we know best, and once we get that right we’ll spread our wings.

Our approach

We only recommend an attraction or event if we – or our network of trusted friends – have been there and can give it a personal stamp of approval, or if there’s great feedback on it from multiple independent sources.

We hope that Fred’s Days Out will contribute to our family income at some point in the future. Our business model is to charge attractions and events for prominent positioning on the site, and to take advertising from selected companies that want to reach parents with children.

However, the site isn’t our main income, and we won’t let relationships with advertisers influence our reviews and editorial content.

How you can help

We’d very much appreciate your help in making Fred’s Days Out a truly fantastic site. There are three things in particular you can do:

  1. Add attractions and events – click on Add an Attraction or Event and get typing! Please keep your descriptions factual – we’ll add recommendation if we think it’s appropriate. We look at every listing before it’s published, and may also make changes to maintain our ‘house style’.
  2. Let us know if you see any errors, omissions or improvements that we could make – use the “please let us know” link near the bottom of each listing page or our Contact us form.
  3. Tell us how good (or bad) you think an attraction or event is – use the star system on the site to rate it, or tell us even more by sending comments via the Contact us page.

Our family company

We run Fred’s Days Out through Bubble Ventures Ltd, a company that we fully own (“Bubble” was our nickname for Fred before he was born). Our registered office is at 22 Shelley Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1TU, and our company number is 5559188.
